About
My Story
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to serve with several retirement homes/skilled nursing facilities that have allowed me to grow. I owe a lot to the elderly community and the experience they have provided me to become a medical doctor. My journey began with the Jewish Home for the Aging in the San Fernando Valley, where I served as a high school volunteer. That experience continued to college and medical school, where I participated in programs like Davis Appreciating The Elderly or D.A.T.E at the University of California Davis. While in medical school, I saw firsthand how skilled nursing facilities could get a “bad rap” because families cannot get ahold of their physicians. At the same time, their loved one is housed in these facilities. These experiences culminated in Four promises I can make for your loved one. 1) I will take care of your parent like they were one of my own. 2) If you have problems with a particular service I am associated with, guarantee that I will speak to the administrators/staff on your behalf. 3) Open communication through email. 4) Quality over quantity; no longer will you have a physician with hundreds of patients on their panel.
Let me be your loved one’s physician, especially during this difficult time. I cannot guarantee that the facility is the best. Still, as your loved one’s SNF/hospice physician, I can guarantee that I will be reliable and responsible and do what is best for your loved one.
